Current media darlings Kittie (who were recently written about in Rolling 
Stone, SPIN, and Chart) are currently opening for Slipknot on their North 
American tour. The four teenaged gals from London, ON with be showcasing 
material off their full lenght debut album, SPIT. The Canadian dates for 
the tour are as follows:
Jan 27 - The Drink - London, ON
Jan 28 - The Warehouse - Toronto, ON
Jan 29 - Le Spectrum - Montreal, Que

On Tuesday January 12, Sarah McLachlan was one of 81 people who were 
appointed to the Order of Canada. She received the title of officer of the
order.

Rob Higgins (ex-Change of Heart, ex-By Divine Right) is no longer going to 
be filling the bassist position in Tristan Psionic. Sandy McIntosh's 
friend "Grant" will be taking his place. The band has written some new 
songs, but there is no word on when the material will be recorded or 
released.

I Mother Earth are preparing for the release of their new single, When Did 
You Get Back From Mars?, by doing a short tour. The single will be hitting 
the radio waves very shortly with a video being shot later on in January.

Finger Eleven will have a track on the soundtrack for Scream 3. The band 
will be contributing the song "Suffocate" to the album which is set to be 
released on January 25.

Tickets for the 2000 Juno Awards went on sale last Saturday. Scheduled 
performers for this years ceremony include:

It was also recently announced that OLP will be doing a Much Music Intimate 
and Interactive on January 26. The show will air at 8 pm and will be 
hosted by Rick Campanelli. 

Former Eric's Trip bassist Julie Doiron is heading out on tour with the 
Creegan Brothers. During the tour Julie will be selling copies of her 
recently re-released Broken Girl album. The re-released version will 
feature different artwork than the original record. Tour dates are as

American indie label SpinART will be releasing the Flashing Light's awesome 
debut album, Where The Change Is, in the US on March 21. The label plans 
to release "Highschool" as the first single and may distribute the video 
for the song to the American music video channels. 

Choclair is heading out on an Ontario tour. He can be seen playing tracks 
off his recently certified gold debut album, Ice Cold, in the following
