Scratching Post announced last week that their new album will be finished
and in stores by June 30. Look for the band to be touring this summer.
Treble Charger are hoping to release their fourth album on July 25. The
first single from the album, American Psycho (which I've heard is "$#*@ing
amazing"), is set to be released to radio in the next couple of weeks.
Moist have announced a whole slew of tour dates for the next couple of

Gord Downie is recording a solo album. The debut album from the Hip
frontman will be the last project to be recorded at Toronto’s Gas Station. No word on when the album will be released.
Mayor McCa has a new animated video for the song "Mental Carcus" off of his
album Welcome To McCaLand. The Mayor will be embarking on a west-coast tour
this summer. Tour dates will be posted as soon as they are announced.
Saukrates
has signed a worldwide deal with a new Def Jam imprint headed by Redman. The Toronto rapper will be recording in both Toronto and New York
over the next few months in hopes of releasing an album by the end of the year. Along with recording his own album Saukrates will also be producing
work for Maestro, Michie Mee and some other U.S. artists.

16. The album's first single, "Latitude", has already been serviced to radio.
For the Week of May 1 - 5
The Flashing Lights will be releasing a new EP entitled Elevature in the next couple of weeks. The Toronto band will also be heading out on tour with Limblifter in May. Tour dates will be posted as soon as they have been confirmed.
Moncton’s
The Monoxides will release their third album titled, The Free Release of Energy, in late June or early July.
Robin Black and the Intergalactic Rock Stars released their new single, "Time Travel Tonight/More Effeminate Than You," through EMI Music Publishing
and Teenage USA last weekend. The band is doing a west-coast tour before Robin takes a break to shoot a movie called The Trilogy.
Big Sugar is preparing to release a new album called Extra Long Life. The album which is scheduled to be released on May 9 features reworked versions
of songs like "Headlights" plus some new tunes will be released under the moniker Alkaline.

The cover of the new
Serial Joe album is being designed by Todd McFarlane. The album will be released this summer. The band is also set to appear in
a movie on VH1 called Out of Synch. The band will be playing themselves with singer Ryan Dennis appearing in an acting role as well. The band will
perform the flick's ending theme song, written by Vancouver's Mudgirl, Kim Bingham.
